Julio C. Rimada Herrera obtained his Diploma in Physics at the University of Havana, Cuba, in 1997 with a thesis on third generation solar cells. Subsequently he obtained his Master in Sciences in Physics in 2001 and completed his PhD in Physics in 2006 also at the University of Havana on the topic of quantum solar cells.

Julio has an extensive knowledge in semiconductor physics and PV materials, devices and systems with more than 30 scientific and technical papers published in peer-reviewed journals. He headed and participated in several national and international PV research projects and also developed PV application projects for some Cuban companies during his 20 years of working experience in academic and industrial environments.

At GREEN SOURCE Julio combines his fundamental understanding on photovoltaics with his practical approach and the ability to solve scientific and technical problems.
